Keswick Proms

This evening Burneside Brass under the direction of our MD Mr Laurie Johnston were in concert at the 2016 prom in the park held at Fitz Park, Keswick. It was a great pleasure to be invited back to Fitz Park to entertain an enthusiastic Proms audience. The event began at 5.30 with the Soprano Emily Robinson.

We began our concert with   To the Front Arr L Johnston, The Floral Dance, Just a Closer Walk,1914 march, Eb Bass Solo Air and Rondo, Ticket to Ride and ended our first half with the march Motondo.
Our second half of the programme began with the Kings Own Royal Border Regiment March, Euphonium Solo Serenade Arr L Johnston, The Great Escape, Waterloo to the Somme Arr L Johnston.  This evening’s concert was brought to a close when both the Soprano Emily Robinson and Burneside Brass performed Jerusalem, Pomp and Circumstance Number 1 and Fantasia on British Sea Songs. The audience joined in with the singing of Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia.
