This evening family and friends of Burneside Brass attended our annual presidents evening. The event was held at Burneside Cricket club.
The Burneside Brass Training Band under the direction of Dave Higson started the evening by performing Slaidburn, Abide with Me, Annie’s song performed by Grace Cooke Flugel Horn and John-Henry 1st Baritone and they concluded their performance with the Theme tune from Pirates.

After the training band members had left the stand it was the turn of the main band to entertain the audience.
Under the Direction of our MD Mr Laurie Johnston we started our performance with the March Boots and Saddles Arr D Higson and then the following solo items were performed

Pat Parkinson was presented with a leaving gift as she has recently stepped down from the Band .
The outgoing band President Peter Crawford was presented with a Pewter Tankard and a Musical decorated fruit cake.
We closed our performance with the March Peace and Plenty Arr Laurie Johnston.
