RNLI Cumbria Branch

This evening Burneside Brass under the direction of our Musical Director Mr Laurie Johnston performed at a concert to raise funds for the RNLI Cumbria Branch. The concert was well attended and held in St Martin’s Church Bowness on Windermere.

We started our program with the National Anthem followed by

The Acrobat
Pomp and Circumstance
A Day in the Country composed by Mr L Johnston
And we concluded the first half of the concert with The Great Escape

There was a short interval where refreshments were enjoyed and then we returned to the concert platform to start the second half.

We opened the second half with Fantasia on British Sea Songs

We concluded this concert with The RAF March Past

Soloists tonight were
Harold Roberts Flugel Horn performing – Misty
Craig Woods Solo Trombone performing – The Acrobat
Oliver Bateman 1st Baritone and Peter Gratrix EEb bass performing the Duet The Lass of Richmond Hill Arr Mr L Johnston.

We would like to thank our dep tonight Johnathon Hall on BBb bass and also thank Jamie French for playing percussion.
