This Evening Burneside Brass performed at our last concert of 2014, This concert was held at the Kendal Parish Church where each year they host a Christmas Tree Festival and we were very proud to be asked to play there again tonight.
Under the Direction of our MD Mr Laurie Johnston we opened our concert with the March Peace and Plenty Arranged Mr Laurie Johnston, followed by Skyfall, Schneewaltzer, the cornet solo Vincent Arranged Mr Laurie Johnston, The Selection Mary Poppjns, Just a Closer Walk, Waterloo to the Somme- A musical journey following the Army from 1815-1916 Arranged Mr Laurie Johnston, Trombone solo The Acrobat and we concluded the first half of our concert with Finlandia.
After a short interval for Mulled Wine and Mince pies we returned to the stage.
We began the second half of the concert with Christmas, followed by the EEb Bass Solo Tuba Copper, Candlelight Carol, Sleigh Ride, Euphonium Solo Merry Christmas Darling, Frosty the Snowman, The Snowman, March Christmastime Arranged Mr Laurie Johnston and we closed our final Concert of 2014 with I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.
