On Saturday 13th September Burneside Brass under the direction of our MD Mr L Johnston performed at a fund raiser for SAAFA which was held in Holme Village. This was our last engagement of what has been a successful and very busy summer season for the band.

We started our programme with the March Holyrood and continued with The Great Escape, I Dreamed a Dream, Waterloo to the Somme Arr L Johnston, Ticket to Ride, Pirates of the Caribbean, Skyfall, and the march Boots and Saddles Arr D Higson.

After a short break we returned to the stand and started our second half with the march 1914. We continued with All in the April Evening, Mary Poppins, Yesterday, Gladiator, Pride of the Fair and we closed our performance with Glorious Victory Arr D Higson.

At the end of today’s engagement John Kirby Repiano Cornet closed the event by playing Last Post and Reveille.

Soloists today were

We would like to thank all the deps that helped us out this afternoon, John Redgate, Ian Honeyman, Karen Tattersall, Angela Tucker and Gordon.
