Burneside Brass were the musical support at the Burneside Family Fun day on Monday 4th June.
The Band started this engagement by marching from St Oswald’s Church to the Cricket club to the march White Chateau Arr. L Johnston.
We opened our open air performance with the march Imperial Echoes followed by the floral dance, Jerusalem, Singing in the Rain, The Stein song, Onward Christian Soldiers and concluded the first half of our performance with Florentiner march.
After a short break we continued with the march Trafalgar, the selection Oklahoma, The Rose Arr. L Johnston, the 3rd movement from the English Folk song suite- March- Folk songs from Somerset, I vow to thee my country, Gladiator and we concluded the performance with the March Le Reve Passe.
The soloists of the day were: – Dave Higson Deputy Solo Horn- Iona, Harold Roberts Flugel Horn – Misty, Debbie Caine Principal cornet and Graham Hartley solo cornet – Playmates, David French Solo Euphonium- Blaydon Races and Debbie Caine Principal cornet, Graham Hartley solo cornet and Chris Blaylock – Buglers Holiday.
