On Sunday 24th June Burneside Brass were the musical support performing at the St Oswald’s CofE Junior school annual duck race.
Over the last few days the weather here Cumbria has been suitable for ducks! However we were lucky enough at this engagement to miss most of the heavy rain, although there were one or two light showers, but not enough to stop Burneside Brass from playing.
We opened with the march White Chateau arranged by our Musical Director L. Johnston and this was followed by the Grenadiers military waltz, The Rose of Tralee arranged L. Johnston, The Stein song, Playmates, Misty, The Best of Bond, The Rose and we closed the first half of the programme with March “Le Reve Passe”.
After a short break we resumed our performance with Imperial Echoes, The Shepherds song, Buglers Holiday, the first movement from English Folk Songs Suite- March Seventeen Come Sunday, Pirates of the Caribbean, Blaydon Races, Demelza and we completed our performance with the march Trafalgar.
