Cove House

On Sunday 10th July Burneside Brass performed at a summer fete in Silverdale. We entertained the residents and guests of Cove House which is an Abbeyfield residential home for the elderly.

Cove House was built in the 19th Century and was at one time the family home of the Boddington family the brewers of fine ale. The setting of this home is very pleasant and boasts extensive grounds with large gardens and woodland walks with fantastic views over looking Morecambe Bay.

We performed a varied programme for those attending this fete and played from 2.00pm – 4.00pm in once again glorious sunshine. The soloists of the day were Harold Roberts Flugal Horn playing Concerto de Aranjuez, and the cornet trio Buglers Holiday played by Debbie Caine Principal Cornet, Graham Hartley Tutti Cornet and Dave Higson Tutti Cornet.
