We start off on the 1st in Windermere playing carols as the Father Christmas parade sets off for the switching on of the Christmas lights.
On the 2nd we play at St. John’s Hospice in Lancaster for the Light Up A Light service, we are always pleased to be invited to add our support to this event.
Moving onto the 9th and we play for the first time in Kendal Parish Church for the Cubs and Beavers Christmas carol and toy service. Its a lovely big church which gives us the opportunity to fill our lungs and try and fill the full church with a good sound.
On the evening of the 11th we play at the Station Inn and drown out the football match but they did not hold it against us because we go back on 13th and enjoy a very pleasant meal together to celebrate the Christmas season.
Saturday 15th and its time to play carols in the middle of Kendal, its a very cold but dry day and we give it our best shot over three sessions totalling 2 1/2 hours. The buckets were filled very generously by the public so it’s worth braving the cold for.
Sunday 16th moves us to the Windermere Hydro for the Rotary Club pensioners carol evening. We take our usual/annual place in the room and for a change we played some carols that we have not in the past.
Monday 16th takes some of us back to the Station Inn for some more carol playing (a recurring theme) but this time no football to compete with.
